We welcome individuals who not only have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of veterinary medicine but also have a wealth of experience in the areas of emergency and critical care. The skilled RVT should be comfortable with all duties of the caretakers and veterinary assistants as well as the following duties: CRI calculations and set up, controlled drug handling, anesthesia of critically ill patients, and chest tube care. We appreciate individuals who are willing to share their knowledge with the staff and play an active role in training those who are not yet as experienced. An RVT should possess an active California State license, have a high school diploma or G.E.D., and have a minimum 2 years of experience in the field.
A Client Support member works closely with our team to provide our clients a positive experience. This customer service oriented position is best suited for individuals who enjoy interacting with and helping people. They will be expected to communicate accurately, directly and efficiently to get client and patient needs met. Duties of this position include answering phone calls, interacting with clients in person and over the phone, delivering messages to doctors and clients effectively and timely, and maintaining cleanliness of the front office. Interested candidates should have familiarity with Windows based computer programs, handling financial transactions, and routing phone calls. It is preferred that persons wishing to join our Client Support team have a minimum 1 year of customer service-related experience, as well as a high school diploma or G.E.D.
This individual has the ability to perform all duties of an Animal Caretaker in addition to the following technical skills: Intravenous and oral medication administration, radiograph acquisition, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring of moderately ill patients, in-house and reference lab sample processing, basic and advanced nursing care of hospitalized patients, triage of emergencies, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, urinary catheter placement, nasoesophageal and esophageal tube feedings, patient monitoring and set up of blood and plasma transfusions. The Veterinary Assistant is also expected to feel comfortable communicating with clients, have a familiarity with commonly used surgical equipment, and be supportive in training their peers.A person wishing to apply for this position should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., and a minimum 1 year of experience is desired.
An individual who desires a position as an Animal Caretaker should have some degree of comfort around small animals and possess the ability to provide them with comfort while under our care. This position involves maintaining cleanliness of the hospital, keeping up with the flow of dirty laundry, and restocking supplies throughout the facility. A person suited for this position is open to direction, demonstrates a willingness to learn, can be trusted to work with minimal supervision, and performs requested tasks in a timely manner. An Animal Caretaker candidate should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and may have little to no veterinary experience.
